A daily log for people who make things

Log what you shipped.
Every day.

Post one line about something you finished, keep your streak going, and ship alongside people who notice when you don’t.

  • One line a day
  • Your own timezone
  • A free missed day each month

How it works

One line a day. That’s the whole habit.

  1. 01

    Ship.

Log one thing you finished, in one line, past tense. Tag it with a #topic or a ◆ project, and add a screenshot if there is one.

  2. 02

    Keep the streak.

Every day with a ship counts. Your day ends at midnight where you are, and one missed day a month is covered automatically.

  3. 03

    Ship together.

Post to everyone, or only to your private groups. See who has shipped today, and nudge the ones who haven’t.

  4. 04

    Look back.

Every week becomes a recap, and your profile keeps a calendar of every day you shipped.

It only takes
finished things.

No backlog, no boards, no due dates. Makeyard isn’t a to-do app — your log is a record of work, not a list of intentions. Plans are cheap. A year of small finished things isn’t.

Questions
What counts as a ship?

Anything you finished that moved something forward: a fix, a sent email, a published post, a sketch, a hard conversation. If it’s done, it counts. If it’s a plan, it waits until it’s done.

What happens if I miss a day?

One missed day per calendar month is covered automatically, so your streak survives it. Miss a second day that month and the streak starts again from zero.

Who sees what I post?

You choose for every ship: everyone on Makeyard, or only the private groups you pick.

Is there an app?

There is nothing to download. Makeyard runs in the browser, and the phone gets its own layout rather than a shrunken desktop one — add it to your home screen for an icon and a full screen.

Do I need a group?

No. Post to everyone on Makeyard and follow the makers you like. When you want people who notice a missed day, start a private group and invite them.

What did you ship today?

Start your streakFree while we are small. No card, no trial clock.
